Fans chanted in protest against the board and the team's form during the game at Vicarage Road and the Essex Police Force Control Room have pleaded with supporters to stop ringing the emergency number.


The @EPControlRoom account tweeted: "Ringing 999 because @WestHamUtd have lost again and you aren't sure what to do is not acceptable! It is a complete waste of our time. #999foremergencies only."
