I think Colorado, where they legalized pot, turned a $10 billion dollar profit for the first year, and that's only one state.

That number seems totally made up
tax revenue for 2016 was ~200million
Sales for 2017 where 1 billion in 8 months

Well if it is made up, then Colorado made it up.

All I can find NOW is $1 billion in weed sales for 2016. But I did read $10 billion somewhere concerning Colorado and weed.

No, this is current. Canada passed medical marijuana laws a while back, but this is official. The recreational marijuana laws go into effect July 1st 2018.
First I saw of this was about 3 months ago, and was still just speculation. Apparently, according to the articles, this is real. There are even ex-police chiefs getting in the ground floor on the growing end of things.
