Ghot bang on time to jump to the defence of his God-emperor. Hack seems too soft a word for you at this point.

Seriously - is there anything Trump could do that you wouldn't defend? Anything he has done?

I don't see any mention of Trump in my post. Strange that you seem to. Good shrooms? :D

Yes, buy all of their oil until they run out, then start using our own reserves. What else do they have to offer....sand?

That could take awhile

what do you mean?

Obama wanted to assess it before it was approved(which never happened)

as soon as Trump gained office, it was approved

This was not keystone XL.
The keystone pipeline already existed before trump was elected.

Yeah, this was the plan. it would've worked too, if we had gotten much better prices per barrel.
As I said, the way it actually occurred was to help the middle fund ...well, all their BS in the middle east and around the world.

The oil in the middle east is not running out as fast as expected, either.

Hence the reason we are looking for other sources, to ween us off of the middle east oil.

The US is a behemoth oil producer. With the technological advancements we've had in horizontal drilling we can produce at 30-35 dollars a barrel in certain ares of Texas such as the Eagle Ford region. If oil goes up, a lot more US producers will come online, in reality we don't really need the ME oil.

According to the EIA, the US consumes about twice the oil it produces. The consume number is falling though.

The US does have oil fields that we do not use. According to estimates, they could run this country for 4,000 years. <---- Can't link proof, as this is secret.

WHY we aren't using these oil fields, I have no idea. I can only speculate that various think tanks have decided to make sure we are the only ones with a respectable amount of oil left. ??

They aren't economically viable because of how expensive they are to use

USA only invades oil producing countries to keep the oil commodity by dollar

The reason is because the spot price of oil is very low. OPEC flooded the market and took down a lot of global producers both domestically & in other places. If oil goes back up to lets say 100 a barrel you will see a ton of US producers coming back into production.

Personally i'm actually quite happy that this is happening right now. We can keep our oil reserves for when we actually need them and me and you can enjoy relatively cheap oil instead of paying an arm and a leg at the pump.
