This topic usually provides meme worthy viewpoints by leftists who don't even realize that, while not perfect, trophy hunting still provides a lot to the areas they operate in.

I think that we could raise enough money to hire a private army that could systematically wipe poaching off the planet if we really wanted to. I'd be really happy if DT Jr were caught up in the paramilitary operations. He deserves to have his limbs severed from his body in the same manner he severs the limbs of more highly intelligent species than himself.

while i agree that the only way to save a population, in reality, is to let ultra rich people kill off a certain percentage of them is a sad reflection of human society.... isn't our reflex to save them in the first place when they'd either murder us or eat themselves into starvation a bit of a consolation prize?

I think finances for an army would be good, and in some places trophy hunting directly helps fund armies.
