20% higher single-core clock does not equate to 20% higher average framerate. If that was the case, old FX processors would be the king of single-core games. The processor's IPC is important, and even if IPC is equal framerate
still doesn't scale linearly with core clock multiplier. An overclocked 1060 3GB/R5 would outperform an overclocked 1050 Ti/i5 in just about everything, including gaming.
