The pro controller is pretty much the way to go, i tried playing with the joycons i just couldn't deal with it.

Do you not like the joycons in general or just for botw?

Joycons are terrible, too small and too light, and they lose connection to the console INSANELY easily, like don't try to play if someone's standing between you and the console.

I personally have no connection issues with the joycons. I use them at work and regularly walk from the back of the store (where I play off camera/customer sight) to the front to help customers and they don't lose connection or anything. They are small and easily held in the hand without being noticed so I usually keep them with me as I go from front to back to front.

i never had connection issues with the joy cons, i like them alot, they are so small which is really nice imo, especially when playing on the go

but when playing at home i allways prefer the pro controller, its really good

best controller i ever tryed, and i tryed all xbox, ps and nintendo controllers + more
its bluetooth so u can connect it to pc and set it up to steam real easy
really good battery life
and usb-c ofc

also if u have long gaming sessions, which u probably will in botw, its much more comfortable then the joy cons

Damn i wish my joycons weren't as shitty

Just one person between the controller and the console can interrupt the signal, heck even wrapping your hands too far around the controllers can screw up the signal.

That's what you get with the first batch i guess.

First batch had a lot of issues but i believe if you call nintendo they'll send you free replacements.

Im gonna wait for black friday and buy some pro controller if i can get some for cheap.

Not trying to drop 270$ on 3 controllers.

that sucks.. i heard a few people had problems with the left joy con, but they returned it and got new/fix

mine is fine and its also first batch, got it on release day

also nintendo said if u have connection issues try not to place the console under or behind ur tv

so its probably best to place it beside the tv or on a table with plenty of space around it, cuz yeah both the bluetooth and wifi signal seems kinda weak
