Hey guys,

I got some Stec Mach8's and some Xcels from a guy who works at a big software company.
They're pretty slow drives, but was wondering if anyone knew anything fun I could do with these guys, aside from maybe trying them on ***
They're sata 1 and have a bunch of security features I know nothing about :D

Also, if you know the value of Xcels, that would also help. I am struggling to find a price reference as they sell basically nowhere.

All of my models are 120/128gb.

run this http://www.userbenchmark.com/Software
im curious, obv r/w cant be higher than 300mb or so but random 4k speed will depend on how good the controller is and i've never heard of these.

do they even have wear leveling/TRIM? in theory they should be extremely durable to writes because SLC

Already tested on Crystal disk mark and your sequentials are around 120/80 and 4ks around 12/1.5

for reference, my 7200 Rpm 320 gb drive scores similar sequentials and far worse reads, but similar writes.

In any event through em in a rig and try doing some raid 5/6/10 configurations just for fun.
