The ones of us that played this game before 1.10 had no problems trading and getting items without this website. This website ruined the game’s economy and blizzard is trying to fix that. I wish they could track IPs from this website and ban the players who use it to trade with/for fg. D2jsp is actually a minority community and hosts the more toxic users (botters, modders, people who buy fg with real money to trade for items). No one will bat an eye when most of you are gone.

Well, everyone did they just used other shitty forums that were slow as fuck. Trading forums are based largely on efficiency and speed, and this site excels in that.

Blizzard should be sending njaguar a small royalty check every month for this site.

i think njag has made enough personally to not get a royalty check, his fortune is only possible because of the game blizzard created and the popularity of the game is due in part to his site. the difference is that if njag didnt do it someone else would have, so what he did was far less proprietary.

The only reason this website is a target is because of the forum gold and the fact that you can buy it directly from the website. Do you think it’s okay for people to purchase forum gold and use it to get items? I’m honestly surprised it took Blizzard this long to crack down on d2jsp.



Do you even know the original reason d2jsp exists? It was a bot that was sold for real money and marketed as undetectable. It resulted in the biggest ban wave Diablo 2 has and will ever experience. Does 11-11-08 ring a bell?

I didn't say you can't purchase fg with money. I said that its a grey area, wether its a currency/monetary fund, and that it would be against ToS to trade an item for it, or if it has zero value legally. Which would mean you're efficiently "giving away" your item whenever you trade vs FG. A claim your post also backs.

But whatever. You're not after a constructive discussion about this, anyway. I take a neutral stand point, a legal one, when looking at this. That I use d2jsp FG personally and in any case, is not why I say x or y about it.
