i need to backtrack a bit, what exactly am i getting with a luxury vehicle that i can't get on a non luxury vehicle?

Pretty much this.

Stupid shit that makes you go "wow that's cool" the first 10 times you get in the car and then completely ignore for the rest of the time you own the car.
