So I've been wondering...since there isn't much information on Evil Wells.

Does the quality and level of the of the item(s) dropped into the well determine the stats of the item or does the level of map where the well was found play some roll in the overall finished magical properties?

Basically does it matter if you well an item in the initial level one map or should it be a higher level map to get better overall stats?

Depends on the item you throw in, not the level of the map you found the well in

That is what I thought. Various things have changed and there are new features so I wasn't sure if any of the "welling" features had changed in the last couple years.

Item level with character level can alter number of side drops when solo welling. e.g. Character level 50 welling a TierIII item = main drop and maybe 1 other. Level 5-8 character welling a TierIII item = around 1 main drop and up to 6 side drops.

Well, that is what I have seen, as for group welling, it alters also.
