I can understand why the fanbase of sg1 and sga don't like the sgu. SGU is what you get when you remove most of the wannabe witty remarks and add some higher level of reality to it, not to mention because of that, many more avenues to develop characters. On SGU you had full characters that were dynamic, in the other series, the characters weren't entirely static, but they were very boxed into a strict formula. In SGU, people that matter, actually die or at least the way they manage requires huge efforts on their part instead of lucky stuff. In SG1, entire teams were wiped out, but everything is uplifted because their main team still kicks ass, they don't matter at all. SGA followed the same path with a different cast and a different setting, unlikely event upon unlikely luck upon inplausible plot twist to safe the day time and time and time again. SGU
Don't get me wrong i've enjoyed all 3 of the series, but i'd like to see what they would have found on their way to their 'destiny'.
