One of my fan is not working. This is the main one that comes with the PSU power supply. Is the temperature within my PC too high as a result?

WHICH fan is not working?

If it's the power supply fan, then it's probably not an issue. Some modern power supplies, don't run the power supply fan unless the load on the power supply get fairly high.

NO, the power supply fan can't make the CPU get hotter. It looks like the room you are in is too hot, or the case does not cool the computer enough.

Ya, its the power supply fan thats not working. The room is fine, its early morning here after a night of rain, its about 27 degree in the room right now. If its the case, what can I do? I'm considering getting an additional fan, but not sure if the power supply is sufficient (i know it shouldnt be alot) cos i custom built this some time back with the help of a friend (i know nuts about pc building) and has added a ram, a ssd, and an optical drive since.

A fan will probably be fine, even two fans would probably be fine.

Also you might want to do what Secksii said as well. It sounds harder than it is.

What is the make and model of your case, and of your power supply?

/e Cleaning the dust out of your comp AND the CPU fan and heatsink, will help lower the temps. The thermal paste on the Intel stock cooler isn't very good, after some time has passed.

As for cleaning the dust out of the CPU fan/heatsink, and replacing the thermal paste, maybe your friend would help you with that?

/ee 27C is kinda hot as well. I try to keep my room at around 18-20C. Right now my room is at 15C and my CPU is at 27C.
