I just got frozen on neopets, and the reason they listed is because I had been scamming other users.

ill admit, i expected there was a chance to get banned for using forum gold to buy me and my girlfriend 30m in items, but it being frozen for scamming seems odd. She was banned for the same exact reason, scamming.

Is this just the default for neopoint buyers when they freeze us? Or do they really think my girlfriend and I were scammers and froze us?

You probably got reported by the person who sold your the NPs.
Neopets isn't designed to be doing what D2jsp does, they will ban you if they have any reports/evidence.

I doubt that. They probably just saw the influx of 30M from a random account to yours and figured it was cheating. Did you do a huge one time auction or flood trades?

Seen it happen a few times here. Depends on who you buy/sell from.

Did the person you receive the stuff from get frozen too?

Having a big influx of items/nps into a new account or random account doesn't get you frozen. I've done this multiple times and I'm still kicking.

The influx isn't really the problem it's usually the method in which it is received. For example 15 trades at 2M each trade for all junk is suspicious.
One junk auction from a shell for 30M is suspicious and usually reported by random players which is then investigated by TNT.

my main got frozen a year or so ago.. didnt do any trades or anything on the account for almost 6 months and bam, frozen. over 200mill poof gone

Extremely doubtful this is the case. You're throwing baseless accusations that have no merit.
It is much more likely that TNT froze him because they detected this transfer.
