I would say about 15 mins for a quick stress test, and maybe an hour for the final stress test. Any problems should show up by then.

i typically do 10 mins/30 minutes. usually fine. if i ever crash then I just bump voltage a hair

yes, built close to 4 years ago, never have reapplied thermal paste since, can age be a factor?

yep, definitely

i re-did thermal paste on my old 2600 and temp differences were substantial, 8-13c

yep, didn't have any new tim at the time figured i'd try it.

also had a bit leftover tim on my 212 evo so i used it

2600 reached around 50-60c under load

knew this was too high, so i cleaned it off with rubbing alcohol/ bought fresh paste and re-applied, now around mid 40c under load. 2600 runs very cool since soldered too
