you should do your research about keto and not just bash it. It's not just a gimmicky diet its a life style people live and its helped numerous people with issues outside of weight that a carb heavy diet doesn't do.

This offered nothing to sway. Smoking helps people with anxiety, dosent mean it dosent cause other issues.

It has its uses, just not when athletic performance or day to day living is concerned.

Please elaborate then. What, outside of distance/endurance sports, is keto bad for?

not quite sure i follow, its used in both of those for good reasons. sure its not the holy grail of diets but no diet is, all have pros and cons and vary from person to person. Athletic performance ? following a keto based diet helps burn fat while maintaining your muscle mass and is muscle sparing.. people with diabetes, high blood pressure, fibromyalgia all benefit from the diet as well. I'd say thats a day to day living.

smoking will obviously cause complications regardless of the benefits, edibles on the other hand don't have such side effects. What issues does a keto based diet purpose exactly?

yeah 100 million Americans are pre-diabetic or type 2 diabetic.

I'm not even supporting keto long term, but more along the lines of how mark sisson does it, going into keto full blown 2-3x a year and maintaining a low (<50-75g carb iirc) year round.
