Anyone else on a time-restricted feeding diet?

I am 3 months in and it has been a godsend for me (16-18 hour fast followed by 6-8 hour feeding period)

Lifting 5x a week and right before breaking my fast, am leaner than I have ever been

I've done intermittent fasting (w/ keto) before and I got great results but it didn't seem sustainable for me because it took away from my intensity. I liked the energy I had through my day but I felt my energy to lift was down a notch. Every once in a while I think it can do a lot of good.

I do pretty well on shorter fast periods, around 12-14h. If I extend it that's when I seem to take a dip in energy.

Worth trying, just depends on the person. It's a great way to lose fat/weight quickly without adding inflammation though.

if anyone is interested in hearing more about IF dr. rhonda patrick and mark sisson are two good people that speak on it without bb'ing perspectives

I generally follow 16/8 and long term on keto, once fat adapted its nice to have a weekly cheat meal and be back in keto very quickly. I'm biased because I cut carbs after chronic injuries and I attribute my pain management to restricting dietary inflammation from carbs.

did you do IF and keto?

IF still eating carbs sounds terrible. I'd be hungry all day.

Hell no. I'm strongly against keto.

Keto is a nice way to get heart disease and also less effective than any other diet at losing fat if the calorie restrictions are equal.

lol wot?

iso links to any study linking a keto based diet leading to heart disease, or any precursor. elevated hdl/ldl cholesterol =/= heart disease
