Hello gals and guys,

I wanted to swap my wheel for winter time (winter tires on sep wheels) and realised my brakes are well done. The pads are completely out and the metal started grinding the disks. I feel kinda stupid because I checked them last spring and I thought they were ok. The disk were waving a bit before the pads went out so I’ll just change disks too.

The info I’m looking for is about the torque values for the caliper braket and the pins.

I see on another site that they are the following:

Front braket: 184 ft/lbs
Front pins: 27 ft/lbs
Rear braket: ???
Rear pins: 22 ft/lbs

Also are those sided too of this year ? Like double eared ones for the inside and the grooved one on the outside ?

Should I use some threadlocker ?
I will off-course re-grease the pins but they are well maintained at the moment.

Also: I’m not mechanic but well mechanically inclided so no need for haters that will say shit like « if you don’t know your shit get to the garage, brakes and important and dangerous if you don’t do’em correctly ».

Sounds about right.

I did a family member's '13 half ton a couple months back and all I remember was hanging off a 30" torque wrench to get the fuckers to click.

On my trucks I just rip them on with an impact 3-4 good duga dugas and she's mint

Wow! Not being a smart ass, but have you ever broke lug nuts? I'd think in racing the torque specs would be pretty specific.

I'm sure it would if you sat there banging away on a bolt long enough.
