The design is the same, and iirc they'll adapt to any LS rectangular port heads.

No rectangular port head will fit anything with less than a 4.0" bore

So wait are the 5.3 truck motors NOT an LS?

I was always under the assumption that they were.

Literally the LS1/LS6/LS2/LS3/LS4(FWD)/LS7/LS9=Aluminum block

There are some other aluminum blocks here and there but everything else has an engine code that does not start with LS. They are all the same architecture so parts freely interchange unless there is an interference issue with bore size etc. Early heads were cathedral port and the later GEN IV stuff was rectangular port. I have a rectangular port stock set of LS3 heads and a stock LS3 intake on my LQ9 iron block 408 stroker. It's a hodge podge of gen 3 iron block and gen IV top end parts that bolts right together.
