is gifting packs to "friends" for fg a thing yet?

not allowed for some dumb reason even though trading steam gifts are allowed

It's not allowed because you have to spend real money to gift something from Blizzard shop.
With Steam, you haven't to spend real money, you can get $/€ with skin selling.

I already have made a topic about that and talk with a moderator to clarify situation.

if you REALLY want to spend fg for packs, i think you can buy wow gold, spend it on the AH for tokens to add to your battlenet balance and then buy packs with it

There is some logic there, but i dont think that is strictly true tho.
cant you use wow gold to exchange for blizzard balance?

you would have to buy one month of retail wow for that i guess

i think you can ticket a gm for 5 mins of game time and tell them a friend wants to give you gold, to get a token i know i read a thread about someone doing this. Maybe it was just a REALLY nice gm or he was lying?

GMs do this all the time. Or find a friend with wow that is willing to help you transition the gold for balance and gift you the stuff you want. Tokens for US are running 1300-1500fg.
