Parrot is for five year old little wanna bes. Do not use Parrot it's insecure and utilizes old TLS security mechanisms that can get you compromised.

based on what assumption? TLS to do what? it's a debian based distro, tcp/ip stack and protocols are standard.
Not to mention Kali is anything but for grown ups

Don't see why people only want to use Kali when there are other options

It is the most well known option and it is kept up to date so it is a good place to start for beginners.

Many other options are not well known, not kept up to date, specialize too much in a single field (forensics, networks analysis, etc.), or are just plain sketchy. Installing an OS full of tools written by hackers is one of the fastest ways to compromise yourself

Doesn't work as well as Reaver but it's easier to use. Takes too long as well.


Parrot is much more user friendly, I'd recommend this if you're just now starting a Linux environment as Kali can be unforgiving.



This is very true. If you're going with a Linux option for this sole purpose, it's not worth it.
