My last blog got a little off track and so did my passion for fighting games. but i am back now!
starting this off with my climb to Master Rank in Street fighter 5!
tag: noodle, based out of Vancouver, Canada.
Other things that may be noted is game play in King of fighter 14, Marvel vs Capcom: infinite, and the upcoming game Dragon Ball FighterZ.
This is mostly for personal documentation and referencing.

starting at about 25000 LP(Ultra Diamond). the goal is 30000(Master).
this will not be a smooth climb, so any progression that gets noted can disappear real quick~
for anyone reading that is unaware. the ranks are rookie/bronze/silver/gold/platinum/diamond/master, each with 3 tiers of normal/super/ultra (example: Silver/Super Silver/Ultra Silver, then onto Gold. etc. except for master there is no "Super master")

i am going to post significant matches that happen along the way! mainly of me winning. or perhaps me losing to someone super godlike.

First big win. Against Master rank Dhalsim player Dankadillas. this is 5-5 matchup.
Getting in on dhalsim is really tricky, so when you do, you have to make it count. i managed to do just that. even ones where i looked down and out, he accidently gave me a chance to come back.

Got my first 500 points into Ultra Diamond! and also broke into top 500 online again(highest ive been is about 300) Against JordanDGAF's Birdie. i think this is Birdie's favour. probably 6-4 for him over Cammy. Luckily i'm very practiced in the matchup.
He took away my win streak, tho, by anti airing my dive kicks with pre-emptive cr.HP anti airs. good on him. its kind of a ballsy move because that button is really slow with a lot of recovery, but also very rewarding as you see when he combos into Super to take the 1st game. i'll need to learn to deal with that move if i see it being used again.
On the flip side i took his win streak from him and ended with an overall +20 points from the set.

bad ranked day today. lost my +500 points super quick to a couple close losses, then wrecked by an abigail, and then lost 230 points to a platinum. lost alot today....very tough. im missing something key in my game to consistently move up. lost alot to 3 different abigails. idk that matchup very well and i am pretty sure its cammys worst matchup. maybe i should spend a bit of time learning it. dunno..ended the day with 25098. very emotional day. need to be mentally stronger.

didnt make it anywhere yesterday. almost reached 500 again but lost it all in a heart beat. very tough road this is..but here are some cool matches that played out!

The Ryu Struggle
i've always had such a hard time in the matchup, in the past losing many sets to low ranknig Ryus. Ryu is supposedly bottom tier, but something about him tilts me. i play this xAMkiddPC earlier in the day and he beat me 4 rounds straight. i had to conclude that i was just being impatient and need to learn to be okay with blocking fireballs, beause doesnt get much off of them. when i realised that i did much better the 2nd time i ran into him. i still forgot that again and lsot a game, and then had to remind myself once again to close out the set.

Samurai's Demon?

for some reason i always do well against this Master ranked akuma from i believe is NorCal. ive beaten him convincingly in the past(he has also beaten me before), but then i lose to less prestigious players right after...i felt bad for taking his points and then losing htem shortly after.
this match ended up being a little laggy. so they may have tilted him into losing the match. maybe one day ill get to play him offline

a tough loss
ZANGIEF!(Corybell) a matchup that by text book is bad for cammy. 4-6. but i have alot of practice in this matchup and typically do well in it. i seemed like had good control, but then ilost control real quick. alot to learn from this set...it will be important for when it comes to beating zangiefs in the future.
