OBS will give you enough control that you should be able to record on any rig, possibly at the sacrifice of quality, but that's where the level of control comes in. If I were you I would try NVENC encoding to take the weight off your CPU, start at 480p, mid range bitrate, medium encoder preset settings. See how that goes and work your way up if your hardware can handle it.

open broadcaster software aka obs is best

edit: with glide i get zero frame drop from just recording, didnt test streaming but even streaming didnt lag me really

d2 lag is server side imo
