stygians damage varies, like a shadow bow.
Stygians are just cooler, and give you more chances to win vs harder opponents on account of the ability to get x3 max crits in a row (whereas matri's just do the same average damage 3 times in a row).
Matri's optimal vs sorc's. Stygians optimal vs the rest.

imo mat bow doesn't do consistent dmg. I think it has low dmg, but people use coz only requires like 45 ias or something
But I agree stygians are #1. I can't afford a styg and a mat, it else I'd have one of each lol
