Main reason bear suck is cuz of the worst block animation in the game

Use a +4 range and knockback and you cant loose any melee duel
Use sorc and passion pb vs any ranged

I liked botd pb

Max attack/s a pg will get is 5
It also has only +1 range

While giant tresher with 6 shael reach 6.25 attack/sec
And adds +4 range

This fact is the reason all shifters I see suck
And thats why there is a common thought about shifters sucking

Like it was said, having high damage is not so important
You can have a 8k-62k with low attack speed and no range and a block animation that will fuck you up
Or you can go the real way :
Faster attack with long range and knockback (you constantly push anyone away while you can keep attacking and they cant), and you'll still have 8k-30k dmg without dream shield
Easy choice

And like I said, dont try to beat any casters while in bear form
Go with the common passion pb zeal sorc

so your solution to winning duels vs casters is to cut your damage in half on a char that couldn't hit your opponent more than once per duel to begin with?

Shifters don't suck in pvp because of the block speed or attack range. They're shit because they can't teleport.

I remember duelling a wolf once. He ran away from me. When off my map he just ended up stright at me, stright away. No desync is so strong. So he must have utilized a bug. Any1 know how he did it?

Hammers can do this, with skillbug. I dont see how a shaper could...

I guess you misread what I wrote sir
I thought I clearly explained to use normal sorc with passion pb and tele vs any ranged/casters
Cuz a shifter cant win vs those

While that kind of sorc is really bad against melee opponents
But the bear sorc with longer range and faster attack speed (6.25 instead of 3.xx) can also easily keep up with the required attack rating needed since you dont need anything else but ar with this build (you can swap gear to forget fcr, resist, mana, everything else really, even ias from gear isnt needed anymore)
While no shifter can win against a decent smiter, this bear sorc can easily, due to a faster longer ranged attack that can constantly push away your ennemy to a distance of 5 while they can only hit you at a distance of 2
