If you're serious about using a heal charm you may want to upgrade that typically heal charms won't set you back too far unless they're insanely high ee. But more importantly you may want to invest more points into intelligence next time you climb. I would recommend around 40 ish total Intel would help with heals. That may be excessive...I'm not 100% sure. I would ask for other peoples opinion in this regard.
Plate mails are insanely high physical defense but also insanely low Magical defense. Of course, physical defense is generally more important than Magical as physical damage is more prevalent. However, as you are lacking in Magical defense, any monster that decides to whip out a charm is going to tear you a new one.
Statting more Intel also gives you a small amount of increased Magical Defense which does help a bit.
The most important thing I can recommend is getting some Life Regen gear, it is generally pretty inexpensive and drastically reduces the amount of time you spend waiting in town. I don't know if you already know about this, but I figured I'd mention it anyhow. You put it on in town and it speeds up your recovery; then you put your main gear back on and get back to fighting.
