The brits wanted to push up the meeting with Trump to be an unusual first-term state visit, partly because the queen could croak at any time and best not put it off
And they're still planning on having that state visit next year

Actually she never met Lyndon Johnson while he was sitting.

I've not yet met anyone from my country who doesn't think Trump is a blithering idiot. Didn't sign the petition cos if you're gonna accept a state visit from Mugabe then you should accept one from Trump with the same pomp and ceremony. Of course Trump will have to be thick-skinned as Mugabe protests were pretty wild by Brit standards. Can't imagine he'll be given any slack.

I've looked into how to move there so many times but it seems almost impossible. Unless you're military or know a trade that isn't already common there.
