Do you not get any snacks/drinks when you go to the theater? It cost $6-$15 for a ticket, then it's $10-$15 for popcorn/drink, and I usually have to take the wife, making it usually $40 or $50.

I love movie theater popcorn, especially when it's fresh. I usually try to get to the theater early and I'll wait for a fresh popped batch, or I'll ask for it if the staff is obviously lazy and shitty. I never get the candy or anything, I'm not paying $6 for a $1 box of sour patch kids. Usually get a drink though too, I get way too thirsty to sit somewhere for 2.5 hours without drinking anything.

My wife and I always sneak stuff ino theater with her purse. I bring a lil bottle of rum (bout 6 shots worth)and a bag of chocolate almonds or something. Everynow and then we buy poocorn. Just our tickets alone cost 20$ each then if we were to buy more food and drinks be an additional 20$ each. I try to support film industry as much as i can but going to see a movie should not cost a cpl near 100$. I work to hard for my money to justify these outrageous costs.
