All the good shows are cgi
Just look at Sidonia no Kishi
didn't watch, wasn't really interested in it.
about the only thing i watched fully with budget 3DCG and actually enjoyed was that Expelled from Paradise movie.
about the only decent 3DCG i've seen in a anime series was from Bubuki Buranki, though i didn't finish watching it as i got bored of it and dropped it.
visually it looked more anime like to me, it kind of reminds me of the character visuals in that fighting game Guilty Gear Xrd where they turned 3D models to visually resemble 2D anime and it works pretty well (at least better than shit like Ajin or Berserk).

Whyyyyyy. So many shows that have potential are ruined by this shit. Doesn't it cost them more to do? I can't understand why they don't just realize that it looks bad, so they shouldn't use it. Until the tech is there to make it look amazing, or at least as good as shit we already have, don't fucking use it.
it's cheaper i'd say, at least the stuff we usually see in anime at least.
shits far from the quality and level of 3DCG movies like Gantz:0, Captain Harlock, Advent Children etc.... that actually look good, downside is that shit is high end and expensive and that's why those movies rack up millions in budgets.
