Why do you say this? What about this tax policy makes you think problems for the middle class are coming?

nice plan, but this is the sunny side of it. what about the financing? closing some loopholes, boosting growth by a few % or that one-off repatriation tax wont come nowhere near financing this kind of massive tax cuts.

Can you explain your stance on the child tax credit? I'm garbage at tax stuff and I don't really understand.

Yeah it's either cut loads of expenditures (which based on our current leadership is likely to be things crucial to the well-being of the citizens) or the debt skyrockets. Or both.

Mostly doesn't look too bad. Oddly it seems to encourage welfare queens popping out babies and people being lazy and working less to take advantage of what amounts to universal income with those huge standard deductions.

ofc both parties will get this done - because it means massive tax cuts for their donors and them, that is the whole point...

ofc it will significantly increase the deficit, but it's not like republicans ever actually cared about that - and ofc the middle class and poor households will be worse off, but that is pretty much expected from trump. i wonder where all the simple minded 'socialism doesn't work' idiots stand on the whole trickle down approach, which has a much worse track record...

but i see where the spin is going: focus on the (actually desireable and necessary) simplification of the tax code, and ignore the deficit and massive taxcuts for the rich... wonder what your "micro econ professor" has to say about the latter...

I love it when you pretend to understand economics. The laffer curve nearly always lowers the deficit.

With any luck Reps will shut down the government to make the Dems look bad for being obstructionists.
