Curious about where people stand on this whole boycott the nfl vs take a knee thing that's going on. Personally I don't watch handegg so I don't see the big deal, but where do our resident pardians stand? Can't see how this would stop anyone's enjoyment of the game.

flag worshipping nationalistic nonsense, trump hysteria, black panther salutes, race baiting divisiveness and delusions.. im not too fond of either side.
however i do have respect for the veteran who broke away from his team to stand for the anthem.

add in the 'no fun league' and PC bullshit policies and the fact that my favorite team is being wildly mismanaged.. my interest in the NFL was near an all time low as it was.

Regardless of rather you agree with the players kneeling or not, unless their employers state otherwise, like Jerry Jones did, they have the right to protest. So I respect their right to do some dumb shit....like not standing for the national anthem.

non-issue. kneel, stand, sit, do whatever. NFL can deal with it on their own volition.
if it's about drawing attention to issues, then actions like JJ Watt's, who has helped put together a $37MM+ fund for Hurricane Relief victims in Houston, seem to be more effective in terms of using the NFL platform to promote good deeds and proper change in the community.

this was interesting - the coach, Mike Tomlin, and James Harrison were both less-than-subtle at their being upset that Alejandro Villanueva chose to stand alone on the field (outside the tunnel) for the National Anthem. the rest of the squad said they were going to sit in the locker room but then stood in the tunnel, far behind their lone teammate.
Villanueva went to West Point, served three tours in Afghanistan for the Army, achieved Army Ranger and Captain ranking, then he tried out for NFL teams and made it in 2014 (first for the Eagles, then he was waived and went to the Steelers where he plays today)

Honestly, these players gain millions of dollars. They constantly brag about their money on instagram and twitter yet they act like they're being oppressed

Too hypocrite for me.

It makes my facebook feed entertaining to see my friends and relative get triggered about this yet you don't see the same reaction when Trump has personally insulted John McCain for being a POW.

Does nothing for me. I wish they would keep politics out of sports. I felt like i was getting more politics than football yesterday - which was annoying.

Sit, stand, kneel, stretch, stay in the locker room -W/E you want. Our country provides that freedom, I'll remain standing and silent because that's my choice. I won't knock anyone for a politely protesting.

It's a serious issue that requires the utmost attention from our president.

I'm still interested to see where this gambit by trump will lead. The left-wing is definitely taking the bait, but its still a question of whether its a good strategy.
Once upon a time maneuvering your political opposition into casting themselves as unpatriotic flag burning radicals would have been their irredeemable doom. Now, people might just be so burned out as to think worse of both sides.
