Ok. Watched 2 episodes. I'm liking this a lot.

Is this like the star trek movies reboot well i mean similar cuz i really liked the movies but im not a fan of the old tv shows/movies n i need good scifi

I really learned to love star trek, especially the old tv series and the first six movies. New 3 movies are alright as well, havent seen anything between that. Looking forward to Discovery now, trailer seemed quite interesting.

Reserving judgement until I see more episodes. Some of the camera angles and lighting were wonky, but judging by the previews of the new ship, it looks like those issues were design choices. I wasn't disappointed, for now.

The downright hostility from supposed fans of the series is downright hilarious, then again I remember the same dissent with the previous series.

I was a little taken back by the looks of the klingons, but they said they'll explain why eventually.

Just really wish CBS would've aired it on their regular channel, or gave it to netflix, not start their own streaming service.

People outside of the US are lucky because they'll get it on netflix or have it air on tv.

Fairly big trek fan, watched all the previous series before, was skeptical when I saw the trailer, but I actually enjoyed those first 2 episodes more than I thought I would. Disappointed that it does seem to have gone far from the original vision of star trek series, but if it helps maintain a decent viewerbase and attract a few new people into watching it, it seems a small price to pay.

Interested to see how this first season pans out, a success here could lead to a nice revival of star trek series.
