No I have a cubic equation (x^3 +.....)

The Ti-36X Pro cant graph/plot functions and the professor erases the calculator memory before the exam (this is to prevent any sort of programming)....

so how would you obtain the 3 roots of a cubic equation??

To be honest, 99% of the time the professor is going to be giving an equation with an easy factor so that you can find the roots by hand.

bro its engineering, and the numbers will be in decimals and shit lol its not gonna have nice numbers.

i think ima just use the equation solver and guess the roots, that way ill output the closest roots to my guesses

Ah damn lol. I thought most engineering programs these days just always used computer programs to do all their math work. I'm not sure if I ever even touched my calculator in college, <3 Mathcad.

Just assumed it was HS algebra 2 or something.

Even in some of my finance classes in college some of my professors required us to learn the bare bones number crunching.

And engineers get paid so much more than physicists...
