MSRP's for last gen equivalent products i.e from the 980 ti to 1080 ti are way up, but innovation is way down. Not to mention the two titan xp's which was just scummy. It's all about the cash crab with this node shrunk maxwell refresh.

But if anyone's to blame it's RTG, not nvidia

how much is msrp? of 980ti and 1080ti?

how much of performance boost is 980ti to 1080ti?

now I ask again what are you talking about?

this supply and demand pricing has nothing to do with amd/rtg or nviida as of the moment even if rtg was caught saying to bump up the price

i mean that's pretty irrelevant, if you want to go there where does it end? if the 8800 gts cost $250 the gtx 1070 should cost like $4000 because it's over a dozen times faster?

The point is what you're getting for the money, they obviously could have given us more than a maxwell refresh that costs more.

and there's no excusing what they did with the titan xp's, that was pure cynical greed

I remember Fermi being leaps and bounds better than the Testla 2xx series. It was ridiculously better, because they had real competition. Wasn't fermi -> kepler also a bigger leap than this one? As far as I remember kepler -> maxwell was the first time they basically didn't progress at all in performance, discounting times they've rebranded which was kind of out of control in the 8800/9800 era.
