I'm not convinced the 850 pro is anything more than a rebrand of the 850 evo. the speed is exactly the same and when it first came out its warranty was just as long as the evo's is now, they only increased it because a competitor came out with a 10 year one. The drives are known enough for their reliability that they could pull this easily.

Also worth mentioning that even if you GET the warranty with the used pc somehow, you probably won't be able to redeem it because after only 150 tbw the 850 pro's warranty on the 128 and 256gb models is rendered void. Basically a single drive write per week will void it before the 10 years are up. "Pro" indeed. 150 terabytes really isn't that much, there's some budget TLC drives with less durability now that come with a 400tbw warranty. That's over twice the warranty-backed lifespan of the 850 pro which is faster and more durable. Now why would Samsung do this?

What? With this cpu most unlikely to even write that much unless you did old dial up shit and walked away for it to complete

Not sure what you're on about. I don't know of any combination of am3+ motherboards/cpu's that wouldn't be able to saturate an 850 evo as well as any modern system. It's like I've been teleported to the 90's where you had to setup disk interleaving to give the cpu and i/o controller time to breathe because they were so slow. I know bulldozer is crap but surely you can't have such a poor opinion of it.

/e And while you're probably right that the drives haven't had much written to them, the fact is that we don't know
since it's a risk i wouldn't be inclined to pay anywhere near the price of an 850 evo for the used rebranded version

I agree with most those prices, but not sure how you got $20 for the processor. I would at least say $50 for it considering new it is $100, and used it's around $70 on ebay (usd)

I see a listing atm on ebay at 20$
still there now since I posted.
Can grab locally for 30-40$ ez also.

new is 100$ cause old tech.

Just saying the combination of parts screams budget gamer
And anyone needing to do else where isn't buying that psu
Besides the psu it looks like many suggested builds from here many moons ago
