it's not for everyone, but it's not horrible imo
the main focus is actually high school romance, and it shows a small bit of what their future would be like together
the characters look a bit more mature, mid/end high school/college, rather than the usual younger look
there isn't really much that comes to mind when i try to think of things that match your description
naruto. old and long enough to build up a set of characters, age them, and see the next generation. boruto.
