Hey Guys,

I'm just starting to pick up both c#/python and I'm just wondering ideas of how to further my skillset? I'm looking towards developing business applications, but lacking any ideas for something to builds towards? My last job dealt a lot with OLAP cubes but all that was done in VBA/VB/SQL. Wondering if any professionals may assist me with other real world applications?

Business mean java most of the time. And knowing java is valuable in itself.

Can you be more specific? Which industries? Banking for sure seems java heavy due to the applications its utilizing. But I've seen chsarp & vb.net for heavy analytics

Everything wants SQL and basic C or ASM from what I could tell. Then again, I've been in the engineering field for too damn long
