So 10$ a month and you can watch ANY movie that is non 3d/Imax in a cinema in Usa?
Is that correct

In participating theaters. I checked around town and all my local theaters are in on it. Pretty fucking cool.

This. If anything, it probably puts more butts in the seat and they get the food sales which is where they make their big money.

This is something I'll probably get then. That's pretty fucking ridiculous. What device are you using it on, do you know it it's available across all app accessible devices, smart TV, consoles etc..

You need to subscribe to the service. And they send you a 'pre paid' debit card in the mail. So when you use the app to 'confirm' your movie, they load the funds to your card and it allows you to pay for it.

Theaters make the money off concessions not ticket sales... The theater does NOT TAKE the hit for the price for the movie. MOVIE PASS COVERS the exact cost

Its like insurance... you pay for it, but dont always use it. So you take a MASSIVE group of people, and they wont always use it. So moviepass makes money. Plus they locked themselves into massive contracts with mastercard and all the theaters to allow it.

regardless, its worth it.... again I have used it, and know how it works... and can answer any questions about it

According to an article I just read, my two closest theaters in Massachusetts do accept moviepass. One theater is AMC, the other is showcase.

For $10 a month, I don't see any negatives. I may not spend $120 a year at the movies, but this allows me to see movies I wouldn't necessarily pay to see, and is something to do.
