I didn't notice it before now, but that pic just above in post 10...updates itself, every 3 hours. Color me impressed. ^^

/e When I first posted it...the time was 2AM last night, the Advisory number was 41, and the light tan area around the hurricane eye, wasn't touching Florida yet.

Map in post #10 is gonna update at approx. 2:10AM

Should see the dark brown area hit the Florida Keys. The dark brown area is the eye wall, the worst part of the storm.

Good luck Florida.

im pretty sure the dark brown area is just all hurricane force winds. yea the eye also has those strong winds. but this brown area is bigger than the eye.

On the info-graphic in post #10, the brown area is the eye wall of the hurricane, not the eye. The eye is the black X.

The maximum impact is the northeast spot on the dark brown circle. All of Florida is gonna have wind and rain, big time, but not like the northeast spot on the eye wall...that will be seriously viscous.

/e This is the current infra red map, the more red the coloring, the more energy.

...see the colored legend across the bottom? The farther to the right on the legend, the more the energy.

/ee The video here, seems to be pretty accurate... https://www.accuweather.com/

noob_whacker should be just getting the beginning of the storm ...where he is.

The worst part should hit him about 11pm-ish. It's Cat 3 right now, let's hope it drops to Cat 2 when it hits him full on.

2 million are without power in Florida ...so far.

Dunno, but his area didn't get hit as bad as they thought. Irma had dropped to Cat 1 by then.
