Rainbow is probably the coolest looking, if you're not color blind...

Irma appears to be making at least...some landfall in Cuba at the moment...which is a good thing, as any landfall it makes will lower it's power...so to speak.

Further here are the latest storm tracking models. The two lower ECMF models, in the third graphic down, (European models) are seeming to be the most accurate.

Yeah they said that 'might' happen.

/e I just checked again...it's still at Cat 4. Assuming it does turn north soon, they said once it's back over water, it may go back up to Cat 5.

That animation up above is updated every 30 minutes ...so that's where Irma is at the time of that post.

Well it seems it's sort of bouncing off of Cuba. Irma has widened to 527 miles at this time. The top of the storm is just starting to hit Miami.

The most dangerous part of a hurricane that's moving northerly or north westerly is the upper right corner of the eye wall (the area just outside the eye).

It looks like they are moving the center of Irma's storm track to the west coast of Florida.

/e The problem still is, that the maximum impact of the hurricane is the upper right edge of the eye wall.

The upper right edge of the eye wall is approx. 70-80 miles east of the eye. :/
