real-time protection is just pissing away your cycles for nothing, if you're sensible you'll never get a virus anyway.

I've seen sensible people get infected by drive-by downloads because a website they frequent got breached. Real-time protection helps more than it hurts :).

idk id rather have to reinstall windows and/or fix my bios than have to deal with that constant background slowdown for nothing years upon years because on avg that's how often something like that would happen to me
