One shitty consequence of the dial only turning from 0-10 is that if someone turns it to "10" and keeps it there for long enough, "10" starts to feel like "5" for some people. That is unacceptable.
Look. I get that a LOT of people are REALLY upset that Trump won. Like actually to the point of being borderline hysterical. But this turd bucket isn't a constant 10. The country's business keeps running. Political prisoners aren't being thrown into jail cells. The economy hasn't tanked. (Yet). I'm sure you're familiar with the tale of Chicken Little. Well, now we're living it. We're being numbed by the sheer scale of the histrionics. People will get to see firsthand just how little a president can actually affect the functioning of the nation, because for as much as a bumblefuck he is, there will be good people doing good things for other people to make up for it.
