Hi !

For some reason when I installed path of exile 2 days ago it messed up my system configuration somehow. Now when i run 4x D2's my CPU hits 100%, when it should'nt be more then ~5% total.

Every d2 window now uses ~20% cpu when it should be just above 1%..

I have tried Ccleaner, changed the core setup in msconfig, removed everything i've done/changed the last 2 days. Glide wrapper iis given a try aswell. Or is the only solution a full format?
I did the "turn system back to X time period".

My processor is 4770k, 4 core 8 thread cpu. It is running on all cores, so that aint the issure. It aint doing it properly tho

Any idea what might be the cause?

Thanks!

Why do you need to be running 4x d2 at once?

I don't, 1 application still uses way to much cpu now for some reason.

It could be the famous D2's lack of throttling functionality bug (if it's not patched yet, not quite sure about that; see -> https://us.battle.net/forums/en/bnet/topic/16202230069#post-3). Minimaze your D2 window manually and see if the cpu usage drops.

Yes, minimizing manually makes it drop to normal usage. Still find it very weird that it can change from one day to another.

If it switched direct x, what do i do?
Thanks guys!

I thought this was normal. D2 has always hogged the one core it runs.
