This right here is how you glaze your clutch, don't do this.

If you are driving something with anything that bares semblance of torque you won't be riding the clutch for long and won't do any damage. I never added throttle in my old diesel for instance and you take off in 2nd gear in that thing. You are actually producing less heat than flaring to 2500 rpm and slipping it out.

This is a perfectly acceptable method of learning the engagement point.

Done this every time i back out/creep forward. Frs has 80k+ miles 10 track days, idk how many autox days and stock clutch is still perfectly fine.

You're talking about a diesel, with heaps of low end torque, that's completely different.

It was an extreme example used for proof of concept. Everything I've owned with a manual except a 4cyl Ranger hasn't had an issue doing that. Gearing is the determining factor. I don't see a factory organic disk clutch having an issue.

My first driving course the instructor took me in a hill and said you are going to parallel park for the next 30 minutes. (manual)

So I spend 30 minutes playing with the clutch, breaks and gas. Got used to it quickly, obviously still stalled a couple times after but just practice doing stops and stuff and like they said you'll get the hang of it. Sometimes it's just the stress at a red light make you mess up more than anything else.

i honestly dont recall ever having to "learn" from being out riding quads and 3 wheelers to learning where and how the clutch catches on a gokart/shifterkart and then the clutch in the race cars, it wasnt even something i thought about, i just did it
