It'll fry the clutch before it ruins the trans.
Just keep at it. And if you get too flustered stop, because it's not going to help.

Eventually you'll get the muscle memory for the sweet spot, and be driving like you've been doing it for years.

S2000, my friend hooked it up with a deal, I couldnt resist. My first manual, been driving automatics for 10 years or so. Maybe shouldve bought a real beater. Looking like an idiot in the streets, but we all gotta learn sometime right? Hopefully ill learn faster.

I learned in a 98 Mustang GT so I feel you lol
That thing pretty much had the torque to dump and it and it would just chug a few times though lol
Didn't have it long enough before I realized that the 4.6 was a turd and got something else before it needed a clutch lol

Youll be fine. I drove one for maybe 15 mins when I was 16, a new Mini Cooper S. Killed the shit out of it. I would struggle with that sweet spot for first gear.

Fast forward 4 years, went to go buy a Mustang GT (05), but wanted to know stick before i bought it. Called up my friend with the Mini, took it out for about an hour. The only 2 times I had ever driven stick before. Was just fine, might have been a little hard on the clutch, but didnt know/care. Went test drove the mustang, acidently got to a hill, floored that bitch lol. Didnt stall it at least.

So what Im saying, I was prettty shitty. Took me two times driving years apart but about 2 hours. Just go to a parking lot, and pratice first gear. Thats the only trouble one imo (maybe reverse 2)

might be bad advice, but just go light on the throttle to about 2-2500rpm and slowly let the clutch out until you feel a slight pull. Stay steady at the rpm and slowly drop the clutch to keep moving, then once rolling finally get off the clutch completely. Might burn through it quicker, but not if your only doing this for a week.

took me two tries. both around 30 minutes. The thing i always taught my friends is this. On a flat surface, put the car in first and just slowly let go of the clutch. The car will move by itself without the need of pressing the gas pedal. Get that range of motion down from fully pressing the clutch to where the car starts to move. Once you're comfortable with that then start pressing the gas before that clutch point.

It's all about the clutch pedal.

This right here is how you glaze your clutch, don't do this.

Bought an old beater truck
Stalled twice
Had it after that

Took about 30-45 minutes.

Took years to get good at though and be confident enough to do brakestands donuts drifts etc
