Hi all,

Is it two d2 applications max. that's possible to use at once without any third-party software ?
Because there is a link that I already read it about the Windows XP feature called the "Fast User Switching" through the command Windows key + L (but we need to create it in the control panel of the current computer in activity).

1 computer + 1 free sandbox = 2 diablo

1 computer + 1 sandbox with license = many diablo

2 computers + 1 free sandbox on each = 4 diablo

Not sure, but maybe..

1 computer, and 2 ethernet cards with 2x connect. But not sure that w/o 3rd programm you can choise what connection you will use for Diablo2.exe.

also i've heard about virtual machines (haven't tested myself)

from what i saw @utube, it's pain in the ass to set them working properly

virtual machine will eat too many proc/memory for it(i tested it for another things). Not worth. Sandboxie better.
*and it is not a pain, all simple easy.. little readme and 1 day - you will learn it easy. But there some troubles..
if you have low PC - it is not worth for current situation.
not sure that v.m. workstation will change ip adress.. maybe it will be same what in original ur O.S.
for setting drivers, etc.. you can lose more than 1 day :D
if you have another O.S., not a win, it can give some troubles.
*and workstation - is 3rd programm, i think... but there also question, what is "3rd programm".. Programms in fresh O.S. changing every new version of O.S., so for past ones (like winXP), some programms will be "3rd", but for example in win8 it will be default programms, injected in fresh O.S.

I talking about another way. But i dont know all windows services, maybe some1 from them can give you chanse to set ethernet/ip for current .exe

virtual machine probably the best sandboxie alternative, super easy to set up (just google it)

Also if you have >= 8gb of ram that's overkill to run d2 on a VM smoothly alongside the initial instance of windows, unless you're doing crazy shit in the background like video rendering or something. Just give the VM 4 gigs of ram and that's plentyyy to run d2

Even 2 gigs for the VM would probably fine if you are just using it to run d2. Then you should no problem doing whatever it is you like to in the background (listen to music, fap to midget porn) on the initial windows instance while the two d2s are running

2gigs not enouth for sure
also point to see on "Swap file", it can eat some also. (in case of low videocard - it will be) In this case 2gig will be -> 1.5 gig (reducing also O.S. and other basic services, and will be ~1gig)

My topic is "NO third-party software"

If you create another user in your computer and switch with the Windows XP feature called "Fast User Switching" through the command Windows + L, you can have your channel operator and your clan fighter at once. But, when I tried to install the 3rd d2 application, it just doesn't ask to enter again the 3rd set of cd-keys. I thought before I could if I just create a new user again on the same computer.
