I don't know how often this is asked, I don't come around these parts of the forum often... But what is the easiest/comfortable for a playthrough in single player?
Like between sustainability, damage, speed, etc.

Was thinking maybe a Zealer? I don't ever do walkthroughs, and saw this subthread and it actually looks fun like I'll give it a go.

I'm very familiar with hdins, sorcs, druids etc... But that was always with a grush and full gear :P Thinking about something different now!

*Not trying to experiment too much with a diverse character, just something basic that I can grow and have fun on for a while until I'm ready.

Sorc is the easiest for sure. Maybe 70-100 hours for full EQ.

I think I'll go for this :) the hours don't sound too bad, I can grind it out. Are there any good starter guides? Like early items to farm, things to keep, build etc.
It's probably around here somewhere on the forums, I just don't know where to look.

Pretty much everyone goes fire through norm, until they hit lvl 25 or 31 and can respec to whatever they want to do. Leaf is pretty strong early game, though I just load up a ton of tir runes in sockets and get +10 mana after kill to not worry about blue pots.

You farm norm countess for runes for a couple "Stealth", "Leaf" if you want it, and I usually get enough to cube up for an "Ancient's Pledge" shield as well

Once you hit NM you farm countess for runes and equipment to make "Spirit" sword, "Rhyme" shield, "Insight" for the merc, then start popping Andy to try and get Vipermagi, SoJ, etc. First real MF targets are NM Meph, Shenk/Pindle/Eldritch. You can get up to Lem rune in NM LK superchests.

From there you grind it out. Blizz sorcs can run Hell Ancient Tunnels and Mausoleum all day long for godlies and HRs, and Hell LK has no native cold immunes.

Until you get stuff like "Infinity" I'd either go Blizz or Meteorb build.

Got to A4 with a fire sorc, everything seems to be running smoothly :) Got Stealth and Leaf early on.
Damage is starting to lack/really squishy, but I'm able to get through still.

Do people frown upon non-hardcore characters around here for progression threads?
