Building a Polearm WW barb (i know there are better weapon options, but this is what I want)

I'm IAS and Res capped, so don't need the +20 from Highlords or Maras

Im thinking I should use Seraphs for the +2 skills and +dmg/ar to Demon/UD

Agree/Disagree?

highlord's has DS based on character level which alone trumps any other option.

Yeah, the DS (NOT CS) chance is huge.

In the case you want to be immuned to fire (for Travincal, Chaos sanctuary or Ubers), try The Rising Sun.
In the hypothetical situation where you miss attack rating (you didn't say anything about that), Metalgrid may ends with higher damage than Highlord's.

Atma's, to also break Physical Immunes?

5% - also you usually use a Reapers merc
