So I'm not very well informed on low level dueling gear or what stats are useful when picking out equipment.

Example:
I found a pair of 6 Def Heavy gloves for lvl 12 with the following stats:
13 Cold Resist
14 Lightning resist
14 Fire resist
Half Freeze duration
+46% gold from monsters

While the gold find would be beyond useless for dueling, the other stats seem as though they could be quite useful. Are there any other stats one would look for in armours or specific things to look for on weapons?

Any hints would be appreciated.

As a general rule, items need to be better than 1 fg uniques and sets

For example, bloodfist is probably better than every pair of rare gloves you have ever found on d2

The other general rule is that Diablo characters only need life, damage and speed. Faster attacks, casting, running, recovery, blocking. Resists are a secondary stat that you usually end up with enough of by accident just by aiming at the other stats. Everything else you need can be measured by how much life, damage or speed you're losing to get it
