Nothing changed, he just clarified everything. Only the donated portion changed.

How much people bid for a team is based on what they stand to win from that team's season. Increasing the "non-SB playoff team" payout increases what people are going to bid for that team. If some people don't scroll down and read the update, different bidders might have different ideas about what they think they are bidding on.

And for 2 teams, there was never a chance to read the update since it came after the bidding completed.

Well considering I won the first team and the second team has Jay fucking Cutler at qb it doesn't matter.

In this case, that's probably true. But the question remains .. if the payout structure can be changed after 2 teams, can it be changed after 8? after 20?

Good point. I'm sure Terps will let us know.

Now pay what you owe.

250 became 500. That is a change in the potential payout structure.

From donations though, I don't see what the problem is. The more donations there are the higher the pot will be, in theory.

He's just saying there is more incentive to bid now that the potential return increased. He doesn't want any additional donations later in the auctions to throw off perceived value of teams already purchased before the new donation, should any more occur. Because had people known that their likely playoff bound team would essentially be a risk free purchase, more people would have likely bid on it.

It's a good point honestly. Didn't think of it when I donated.
