it's even worse:
Beyond the costs involved in soldiers' demands to change sex, the majority of US military projects over the past 20 years have been financial and technological fiascos.
All follow the same pattern. An explosion of costs, materials that do not work well and the decision to stop production after losing tens or even
hundreds of billions in vain.
These include
The F-22s, work (very) badly, too expensive, stopped production.
The F-35s do not work, too expensive, reduced production, in re-evaluation.
The Destroyers Zumwalt, too expensive, stopped production, 3 copies including 2 under construction.
The LCS frigates, (which were not armed!), In re-evaluation.
The submarines class Seawolf, too expensive, stopped production, 3 copies. Replaced by the Virginia class.
Ford class aircraft carrier, works poorly, too expensive, a second in production.
The result is that the US military is on the way to becoming one of the oldest and least well armed. They use the old F-15, F-16 and F / A 18 and the old destroyers Arleight Burke, for lack of better.
Only 40% of Navy F / A-18s are able to fly. For the time being, they continue to produce airplanes so that they do not find themselves naked, but it is becoming ridiculous.
